Last night with David Sanborn and friends in Paris

There's no words to express how I feel. David Sanborn was in concerts in Paris for two days at the New Morning. Nicky Moroch offered me once again places to listen to them playing. Amazing music ! I met Ricky Peterson on keyboards (Wow). I met Richard Patterson on bass (Wow). I met again Gene Lake on drums (Wow) and my dear Nicky Moroch, on guitar(Wow Wow). My sister, Nathalie came with me, twice, to listen to them. After the show on friday evening, David Sanborn gave me an autograph on his last CD with a hug and then guys invited Nathalie and I to a restaurant in Chatelet. And on saturday evening after the show, we went to listen to music at the Duc des Lombards. But to not ending the night like this we invited them at home (Nathalie's home) for a last drink. All night long til 7:00am, drinking wine, eating pasta, singing improvisations songs...I'll never, ever, forget it. Listen to them playing was so WOW that I could only be happy but moreover I spent moments of life unforgetable with them. Forever in my mind and heart...

Live in Tokyo

Back from Japan where I spent wonderful time in Tokyo, nice concerts like in the Tokyo International Forum with Norio Maeda san and the great saxophonist Malta, beautiful meetings where I realised how nice and welcome are japanese people. We have a lot to learn about their customs. In France we have a french expression saying "the client is the king", and it's far to be reality. In Japan they say "the client is God" and it's true. People are more smiling than I thought and food is delicious. I let you see few pictures with the eyes of a girl who discoved this amazing city.

Tokyo International Forum with Norio Maeda singing in french my song Black Pearl...

And the big band, behind me while the rehearsal, playing a special arrangement for the occasion on Black Pearl...

In Asakusa

Me with ladies I had found beautiful with their kimonos...

And Sumos...

Amazing and charming japanese garden Koishikawa Korakuen

Subway...

Kids laughing and playing waiting for the train...

Drinking saké in "La Jetée" where all the greatest french directors come to meet this lady who loves France and never missed the Festival de Cannes...

All girls look like her, same style of dressing, very sexy...

Tokyo by night...

Singing in Ueno Park...Bob Leenaers shooting me for his podcast "Chocolat"

My friend boublebassist Hiroshi Yamada...always smiling

Now here are different kind of crazy dressing, full of colors and daring! For the fashion addicted maybe you'll find how you want to look like now...

Jazz in the Park of Capucins

Thanks to Jean-Pierre who took the pictures of one of my concert last summer with my jazz band "Hot Sweet & Swing". There's such a charm and a jazz color on those photos that I am pretty touched by the look he had by photographing us. I remember it had to be a rainy day and there was such a blue sky and the warm of the music could be felt with people around there....

Versailles

20 000 people were there last night listenning to us in Versailles, city of the "Sun King" ! My english friend Jamie gave me the pleasure to come and he took some pictures of the event! Thanks Jamie....but sorry for the quality of them cause I think he had drunk too much wine that evening... Funny things like James, the trumpet player, reading a book and smooking a cigarette while the crowd was waiting for the show, just before going on stage! Enjoy pics....

DAVID SANBORN

My head is in the stars... After many many years waiting for it, I saw David Sanborn playing in Paris in the "Duc des Lombards" on thursday evening. There are no words to express how I feel. The huge privilege I've been granted to be in presence of such a "Grace". It is quite unique to play saxophone like he does. What a genius! What a power! What magic! And musicians, who were playing with him, were just amazing. The duet with Gene Lake on drums and James Genus on bass were unbelievable. James Genus was flying over the rythm with such an elegance. What a great performance of Nicky Moroch on guitar and Gil Goldstein on keyboads!! A dream... And moreover Nicky Moroch invited me as a guest the evening after, so I touched the sky a second time again and I'm still there... Many many thanks to all of them to be all smiles two following days.

Summer week-end singing!

On saturday night playing with friends-musicians in a marvellous place around Paris. No pics while we were playing but only when we were having diner together. What a hard life!! On Sunday, a duet (sing and piano) with my friend Del Rabenja, in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris where we could admired paintings all around us...not too bad too !!

Early Spring in Stockholm

Walk around in the city centre of the capital of Sweden, Stockholm. There with my friend Jeanette. Smelling the air of the early spring in the streets and park of the city, having a tea in a terrasse of a café when it's not too windy or at Bernt, talking about her arrival in Paris for next months.

Looks

What's behind each looks? Friends...Love...Family. SOUL of each one, happiness, fear, kindness, generosity, questions... I love looking at the eyes of someone, reading a part of his personality, like listenning to a beautiful song. These are looks of persons I love...
